Patient Navigator @ Link Health
The program is led by Dr. Alister Martin, an ER physician and an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Kennedy School. He was a former Biden Administration appointee serving as an advisor in the Office of the Vice President under Kamala Harris as an appointed White House Fellow and he currently serves as CEO of A Healthier Democracy, a nonprofit healthcare organizing incubator.

Link Health’s Purpose:
In Massachusetts, Link Health partners with health centers across Houston to enroll patients in federal programs like SNAP, WIC, and Medicaid. By addressing key social determinants of health, they aim to close longstanding equity gaps in historically underserved communities.

How You Can Help:
Link Health is currently recruiting Spanish-speaking high school and college students for their Patient Navigator and Senior Patient Navigator programs. These are paid, part-time positions where students:

Gain hands-on experience in healthcare access and social services

Serve as advocates for families in need

Build leadership and professional skills in a mission-driven environment
