Ilean Boieriu

As a junior majoring in Biochem with a minor in Public Health, Ilean Boieriu is excited to be serving this year as the membership coordinator for AED term of 2024-2025 at the University of Houston. Outside of academics, you'll most likely find her spending her time rock climbing, getting lost in a good book, and pushing herself through marathon training. Ilean is incredibly grateful for the support AED has provided on her premed journey, and wants to give back to the community that embraced her. Through leadership, unwavering dedication, and friendship she will utilize her position to build a welcoming environment for all future and current members and strengthen the foundation for future medical school applications. She extends a warm welcome and anticipates getting to know each of you!

As the membership coordinator, my primary job is to keep records of all memberships, including both past and current members. I also receive new members' applications for both national and regular members, approve them, and make sure to record all membership fees for the chapter. Lastly, I’m tasked with recruiting new members for the organization through on campus events and assisting the treasurer with running the officer intern program.
